The national title game is later on this evening. Examining the final game of the season from a DFS standpoint, Zack Cimini, outlines a couple of key pieces to fill out your DFS roster.
Virginia vs. Texas Tech
Both the Cavaliers and Red Raiders have taken paths that no one anticipated to get to the title game. Virginia is fortunate to be in the title game after escaping two late game scenarios against Purdue and Auburn. On the other side of things Texas Tech put their team together with a plethora of transfers and in the pre-season were 200-1 odds.
Matt Mooney-Texas Tech $10,800
Mooney’s ability to create gives him the best opportunity against Virginia’s vaunted half-court defense. Mooney understands how to play the clock and still get off a quality shot for his team. Not one to force shots expect Mooney to make his value tonight with rebounding and facilitating the offense.
Kihei Clark-Virginia $8,100
Clark’s stats for the majority of the season have been miniscule. Yet anyone that has followed the ACC and the Cavaliers this season has realized that Clark is as an important piece as anyone on the team. He’s had three games in the tournament where he has scored nine points or higher. That should continue tonight as the Red Raiders hone in on the Cavaliers prime offensive pieces.
