Like 'em or Spike 'em

@_NickWhalen tells you who he likes, and who he'd spike in week 6:

Tom Brady is on Nick's "Like" list this week.

Tom Brady vs NYG

The Giants offense is going to be without Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, and Evan Engram. Their pass defense was already one of the worst in the NFL. Brady will be given plenty of chances to thrive.

Matt Ryan @ AZ

Ryan has thrown for over 300 yards in every game this season with 2 or more TD passes in four of five games. He now faces a poor pass defense and a team with an offense in the bottom four in time of possession. Ryan will do well this week.

Lamar Jackson vs Cin

Jackson has a better FF average at home versus the road this season, especially if you don't count his opening week at the JV Miami team. This week he plays the winless Bengals team with a bottom third pass defense.

Jared Goff vs SF

The Rams offense has been struggling all season long and Goff has been the driver. He's only thrown more than one touchdown pass in two of his five games. The 49ers defense has given up the 2nd least amount of passing yards, 2nd least points allowed and 2nd most interceptions forced. This defense just made Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense look pathetic.

Jimmy Garoppolo @ LAR

The 49ers offense has been clicking and the Rams defense has looked terrible. But the 49ers are now without both starting offensive tackles and the Rams defense is too talented to keep performing at such a low level. I wouldn't be confident with Garoppolo this week if other options were of similar level.

Matt Stafford @ GB

The Lions are enjoying one of their best starts in years and Stafford has thrown 2 or more touchdown passes in three of four games. However, the Packers pass defense and pass rush have been a strong unit on the season. They've allowed the fourth lowest passer rating in the league.

With Jaylen Samuels out expect a lot from James Conner.

James Conner @ LAC

Conner hasn't lived up to his production from the 2018 season. However, backup RB Jaylon Samuels won't be playing. Therefore, Conner will have more opportunities against a defense allowing RB's to be very productive this season.

Mark Ingram vs Cin

After watching the 49ers run up and down the field against Bengals, it has been etched in my mind to play RB's against them. This week Mark Ingram gets his turn and he's a must start.

Aaron Jones vs Det

Jones enjoyed one of the best performances by a RB in Green Bay Packers history. This week he gets a defense vulnerable to good RB performances in FF.

Christian McCaffrey @ TB

I know, I know. McCaffrey is enjoying one of the best RB seasons in NFL history. However, he faces the most stringy defense against FF producing RB's and he's on the road. In dynasty, you have to start him. But in DFS, I would pivot this week.

Todd Gurley vs SF

Gurley was already facing a very tough run defense this week. But now he's developed an injury during the week and didn't practice on Wednesday.

Jon Hilliman @ NE

Without Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman playing, some may want to pivot to Jon Hilliman. I wouldn't unless you have no other options. He faces a very difficult defense and he may not see many opportunities, much less advantageous ones, this week.

Josh Gordon has a great match up this week.

Josh Gordon vs NYG

Gordon is seeing the targets and has a juicy matchup this week. The breakout week hasn't happened for him yet, but this could be it.

DJ Moore @ TB

While the Bucs have a good run defense, they don't have a good pass defense. With the attention on McCaffrey, someone else will benefit. the Panthers will also likely have a negative game script with more passing involved.

Tyreek Hill vs HOU

Patrick Mahomes against DeShaun Watson will be the headline, but it will also likely be the return of Tyreek Hill. The game of trying to figure out which Chief WR will break out each week comes to an end with the return of one of the best WR's in the NFL. Now enter a shootout game and giddy up!

Odell Beckham vs SEA

I like OBJ as a player and believe he's talented. But the Browns offense is a mess and they face a top ten defense. Pivot away for the time being.

DJ Chark vs NO

I know Gardner Minshew fever is only continuing to grow. But Saints CB Marshon Lattimore has shut down Amari Cooper and Mike Evans recently. Pivot away from Chark this week if Lattimore is matched up on him.

Marquise Brown vs Cin

I like the matchup this week for Brown and his QB Lamar Jackson. However, Brown has missed practice time due to this ankle. Wait until he's healthy if you have startable options.

Austin Hooper has been one of the best TEs in fantasy football.

Austin Hooper @ AZ

Austin Hooper has been one of the best TE's in football this season and he faces one of the easiest defenses in allowed TE's FF points. He's a must start!

Will Dissly @ CLE

Dissly has produced very good FF results this season and one of the biggest surprises at TE this year. Now he faces one of the worst defenses in defending TE's for FF.

George Kittle @ LAR

Kittle is an amazing talent and consistently produced this season. He finally got a touchdown last week and has another solid matchup this week. He's due for a very good week in line with his production from last year.

Gerald Everett vs SF

He enjoyed a career game last week. But his QB and the matchup don't align for great FF production. Pivot away this week.

OJ Howard vs CAR

I'm not sure I need to even say it, but I wouldn't trust Howard.

Jason Witten @ NYJ

Witten has received four targets each week. But he's not the same player as before retirement and could see a reduction in snaps.
